TROVET UCD Urinary Calm

TROVET Urinary Calm UCD is a diet food specially designed to help prevent the formation of bladder stones (urolithiasis) and urinary crystals that are made of struvite or calcium oxalate in cats. Stress plays an important part in the build-up of bladder stones. Because of this, Urinary Calm has added ingredients that promote calmness and help lower stress levels. Urinary Calm is available in dry and wet food.

• Contains specially selected ingredients to minimise phosphorous and oxalic acid
• Has a slightly higher sodium level to promote moisture retention and a greater urine volume
• Includes urine acidifying ingredients that help lower the pH of the urine and prevent struvite formation
• Contains green tea extract, casein hydrolysate and tryptophane that help to reduce stress

Recommended for

• Reoccurring struvite or calcium oxalate formation
• Stress

Not suitable for

• Kittens, pregnant and lactating cats
• Cats that are currently on urinary acidifiers
• Cats with uroliths that are not made of struvite or calcium oxalate.

Use

The recommended use is initially 6 months. If the prescription is extended, Urinary Calm can be given as a complete food for life. It is advisable to have your cat's urine checked frequently.
