Puur Apis
Puur Apis is a food supplement to soothe sensitive, insect-bitten skin. It is particularly effective for horses with broken and flaky skin, (possibly accompanied by hair loss) in spring and summer. Puur Apis can be used to prevent these symptoms in horses, provided that it is administered from March. A synergy can be achieved when combining Puur Apis and Puur Culico. Externally Puur SME Lotion may be used to reduce redness and support the skin's recovery. Puur Apis can be safely used alongside other medications.
Puur Apis Composition
Diluted extracts of Apis mellifera, Marigold (Calendula officinalis), stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) and blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum). Alcohol 34% v/v.
Dosage and administration
Unless prescribed otherwise by your veterinarian:

1ml = 20 drops
Give this product directly into the mouth with a plastic syringe, or dilute with a little water. This treatment should not be given at meal times as it is more effective when absorbed into clean gastric mucosa. If the animal is reluctant to accept the medicine, you can soak the drops into a small treat.
If a cat will not take the medicine, evaporate the alcohol off on a hot spoon then dilute with water or milk and feed into the cat's mouth using a syringe. Alternatively, put the drops on the top of the cat's paw and let it lick them off that way. Do ensure that the cat licks the drops off.
