Key features

Ipakitine contains calcium carbonate and chitosan. Calcium carbonate binds phosphates and chitosan absorbs phosphates, as well as uremic waste products such as creatinine, urea and indoxyl sulphate. Ipakitine is very tasty and is generally well-received by cats and dogs.

Supporting renal function

Ipakitine functions in the gastrointestinal system where it has an effect on phosphate and calcium content. The calcium carbonate binds the phosphates in the diet, resulting in absorption through the kidneys. A reduced uptake of phosphates supports kidney function.

Dosage

Administer 1 g (= 1 measuring scoop) of Ipakitine per 5 kg of body weight twice daily, mixed in with the food. For animals that eat dry food, it is recommended that you moisten the food so that the powder is absorbed well.
