SANIMED Anti Struvite Cat

SANIMED Anti Struvite has a dissolving and preventing effect on struvite. This complete diet contains the right amount of urine acidifier, so that the acidity (pH value) of the urine remains low. In addition, this diet reduces the struvite-forming components in the urine. SANIMED Anti Struvite has a struvite-dissolving and preventing effect. The ideal composition of this diet food ensures that struvite is dissolved in an average of four weeks. It also prevents the formation of oxalate due to low calcium content and low protein content. SANIMED Anti Struvite can be given for an unlimited period of time. SANIMED Anti Struvite Cat is now also suitable for cats with (idiopathic) cystitis. The food is therefore potassium-restricted, it is enriched with vitamin E and EPA plus DHA.

Struvite in cats

Struvite crystals and stones are common in cats. Struvite can cause irritation and inflammation of the urinary tract. In some cases, struvite can lead to a blockage of the urethra. The cat can no longer urinate and the bladder becomes overfilled. Eventually, the waste products (which are normally excreted in the urine) build up in the blood and your cat will start to feel sick. The Anti Struvite Cat from SANIMED is then a suitable diet food for dissolving struvite stones present and for reducing repeated struvite formation.
