PhytoTreat Tukal Extra is a food supplement that ensures optimal potassium balance. It supports the kidneys of dogs and cats. Our vet has written an article about kidney failure, this may give you some additional information about kidney problems in dogs and cats.

Use/dosage

One measuring spoon per three kilograms of body weight twice daily with food. The 1 ml measuring scoop corresponds to about 0.6 grams of Tukal Extra and 0.3 grams of potassium gluconate. This dosage corresponds to about 200 mg of potassium gluconate per kg of body weight per day. One jar is enough for about 90 daily doses (three months) in a cat weighing 4.5 kg. Please note: do not exceed the recommended daily dosage! Use for a maximum period of 6-8 months, unless prescribed otherwise by your veterinarian.

Warnings

Consult your veterinarian before use if there is an elevated potassium level, or in case of cardiac and kidney problems. Always give your pet plenty of water. Do not use if it is hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Composition (per 100 grams):

Potassium (as potassium gluconate, 50.1 g), Vitamin A (650 IU), Vitamin D3 (65 IU), taurine (43.7 mg), Vitamin E (6.5 mg), zinc (as zinc oxide, 2.8 mg), copper (as copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate, 0.4 mg), iodine (as calcium iodate, anhydrous, 87 micro g), selenium (as sodium selenite, 9 micro g). flavourings (shrimp, tuna and herring) and fillers (cellulose).
