Hill's l/d Liver Care Prescription Diet - Canine

Hill's l/d is a complete, nutritionally balanced diet food for both puppies and adult dogs. The protein content is reduced to minimise the load on the liver. The branched amino acid chain content is such that the accumulation of ammonia and the resulting symptoms are reduced. Contains added vitamin K, zinc, potassium L-carnitine and soluble fibre, and reduced levels of sodium and copper.

Liver disease in dogs

The liver is the central and largest metabolic organ in the body and is essential for the removal of toxins from the body. Liver disease can be caused by infection, toxins and congenital factors. Liver disorders can lead to vomiting, lethargy, an overall poor condition, and even symptoms such as epileptic seizures.

Not suitable for

This diet food is not suitable for: cats, pregnant or lactating bitches, dogs with hyperlipidaemia or (increased risk of) pancreatitis.
